Author/CEO
Rick Barba is the most published writer of books in the videogame industry, with more than 140 game-related titles and 13 million books in print. His 1993 companion book for the classic computer experience Myst is still one of the best-selling guides of all time, with more than 2.3 million copies sold. Twenty years later, his 450-page Grand Theft Auto V Limited Edition Strategy Guide, co-written with Tim Bogenn, rose to number 5 on the Amazon.com bestseller list for all books, eventually selling nearly two million copies.
A graduate of the University of Iowa Writers Workshop, Rick is author of ten novels based on licensed properties and published by Simon & Schuster, including two for the Star Trek “reboot” movie series produced by J. J. Abrams and Paramount Pictures. Rick has also published short stories in more than a dozen distinguished literary magazines such as Black Warrior Review, The Quarterly, Other Voices, Chicago Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, and Quarry West. He taught Creative Writing courses as a faculty member at both Santa Clara University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
He lives just outside Boulder, CO with his wife Suzanne and a shifting assortment of family and dogs.

I give this guide 5 stars because I like how it goes thru every mission with tips. The missions are sort of in Chronological order. Meaning main story missions that haven't been unlocked shouldn't be before a mission (or path of missions) already available. This isn't a problem for me, but if you're planning on following this guide mission by mission, you should be able to complete them all no problem. In this guide you will find several maps of Los Santos revealing weapon, armor, health and special quest item locations. You will also find a full vehicle/aircraft guide pre GTA update 1.06. These are all conveniently located at the beginning of the guide so you can get straight into wreaking havoc as soon as you get into the free mode part of story.
